My previous player was based on the Windows Media Control Interface (MCI).
The control was limited. The player can be found here.
One of the limitations is playing of mp3 files is only possible when the "wavemapper"
is selected as output device. When the wavemapper is selected, the
default PC soundcard is selected.
In 2008 I started to use DirectShow. I am aware that this direct Windows kernel
connection is removed in Windows Vista. This means that the program will only
work on Windows XP or lower machines.
28-02-2008. Version 0.4 is released. The zip file 0.4-StudioPlayer.zip, holds StudioPlayer program.
Suggestions and test results are welcome

24-02-2008. Version 0.3 is released. I noticed that some mp3 files could not be played. After installing the free
K-Lite Codecs, the problem was solved.
Try the fast positioning by of the trackbar.
The volume control is now working.
Would it be nice to have some buttons near your mixer to start the players. With some electronic components I am
able to build something. Let me know if you are interested.
The Pitch will probably not be implemented. The pitch that DirectShow offers interrupts the playing of the file.
This makes the feature not applicable.
I want to make it possible to set a start markers. So you can start playing from a marked location.
18-02-2008. The program is still under development, but I will continuously release
stable versions for testers.
The program will check on if a new version is available.
